Loginless mode

ManualβΈ±since v0.5.0

Every user of YOTEY has a user account. Every user account belongs to an organization. An organization can contain multiple user accounts, corresponding to members of your teams, projects, etc. Project and user account data belonging to different organizations are securely separated from each other. Sometimes we refer to this as environments.

Anonymous account

Loginless mode is a way of using YOTEY with an anonymous account, in contrast to a regular account, but with all the benefits of data separation provided by organizations. You can access this function from the front page, or here: Loginless mode.

Loginless mode works as follows:

Save your personal link(s)
You need your personal link provided by YOTEY in order to keep accessing your anonymous organization. For security purposes, there is (currently) no way of restoring access if you lose the link. We recommend using the "send me the link" feature when creating an anonymous account. Alternatively, bookmark the link in your Web browser.

As creating an anonymous account is intended to be an extremely simple procedure, this manual page does not provide detailed step-by-step instructions.

Limitations

When using YOTEY in loginless mode, there are no functional limitations when working with projects, plans and tasks. However, there are some other differences compared to a regular user account:

Converting to a regular account

Currently it is not possible for a user to convert an anonymous account into a regular account within YOTEY. Instead, contact us at support@yotey.net for assistance or questions. It is always possible to sign up for a regular account if you can afford to throw away your project data in the anonymous organization.

Terms of use

Loginless mode and anonymous accounts are provided on the fair use basis. You agree not to disrupt or exploit YOTEY by using the loginless mode. You agree not to create an excessive number of anonymous accounts. We reserve the right to delete an anonymous account, its associated anonymous organization and project data at our discretion.
